Our History

Dr. Jerry Dixon has been practicing at Arkansas Heart Hospital for several years and takes care of Saline County patients by seeing them in the Benton Clinic for pre- and post-op appointments.

Following his West Point graduation and military service as a U.S. Army Green Beret, Jerry Dixon continued his education and completed medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Jerry then advanced his medical career and technical capabilities by completing his General Surgery residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

After serving in Germany, Honduras and South Carolina, Jerry left U.S. Army active duty and settled in Conway, Arkansas. After realizing the need to be closer to his parents, Jerry moved his practice to his hometown of Benton in 1998.

Although the office is in Benton, Dr. Dixon also has access to area hospitals in both Benton and Little Rock to better provide surgical and gastrointestinal procedures to a greater number of patients.

Dr. Dixon and his staff are involved in continual education with the latest in new medical procedures available. As the culture of health care changes, we are constantly aware of how it affects patient’s needs. Our staff works to help our patients navigate through the process of surgery.

This often involves activities such as scheduling tests or obtaining authorizations from insurance companies. Whatever needs arise, Dr. Dixon and staff are always eager to help and have the compassion, experience and expertise to meet the challenge.
